I am the author of the multi-award-winning book in the categories of Personal Finance, Business and Real Estate Investing.

My book is titled The Employee Millionaire: How to Use Your Day Job to Become a Millionaire with Rental Properties.

For a start, I am no one special … what I mean by that, I am neither a guru nor a person with any special abilities to make himself rich.

I just learned some simple secrets from great mentors I have met in my life.

And applying those secrets have helped me to transform my life from a state of financial ruin to a state of financial freedom in less than 7 years.

The thing is I have achieved all of that while still being employed in a day job and hence the book’s title: “The Employee Millionaire”.

What Is Your Book About?

The book is titled The Employee Millionaire: How to Use Your Day Job to Become a Millionaire with Rental Properties.

It tells the stories of those simple secrets that my great mentors taught me.

Those secrets required no special ability to learn.

And applying those secrets have helped me transform my life from a state of financial ruin to a state of financial freedom in less than 7 years.

The thing is I have achieved all of that while still being employed in a day job … and hence the book’s title: “The Employee Millionaire”.

The book could be considered as 2 books in 1:

  • A book on Personal Finance; and
  • A book on Investing in Rental Properties

The bulk of the book is dedicated to the “Rental Properties’ Investment Blueprint” – it’s a 10-step process that details financing, buying, renting, and managing rental properties.

The book was written in a simple conversational language, with real life case studies and exercises.

Since it was published in June 2018, it has won a multiple of awards (from Best Book Awards, Reader Views Awards, and Next Generation Indie Book Awards).

Why Did You Write a Book on Real Estate Investing?

2 main reasons motivated me to write this book:

  • The first reason I wrote this book is responsibility. I felt a strongly rooted feeling of responsibility to share those things that produced great results in my life. In writing this book, I hope to share with the readers the lessons I have learned from my coaches and mentors … and from both my successes and my mistakes.
  • The second reason I wrote this book is the purpose. My experience in life, business, and relations have helped me to identify my purpose in life, which is adding value to people’s lives. I was fortunate enough to learn from many others, so I wanted to pass it forward, hoping it will help the readers achieve financial freedom and a better quality of life.

Have You Written Any Other Books?

No. As a matter of fact, I never planned in my life to become an author.

The magical moment came when my wife and I received the news that we would be welcoming a baby to the world in nine months’ time. I started writing this book on the same day hoping one day my child will read it one day and apply the learning in his or her life.

My only objective back then was: if only one copy of this book is to ever be published, I wanted my child to read this copy and apply the learning when they start their career.

This sincerity in sharing all information has made this book as “An A to Z Guide for Investing in Rental Properties”.

How Is The Employee Millionaire Different from other Real Estate Investment Books

Contrary to other books, this book will help readers to leverage their position as an employee to achieve financial freedom.

My heart breaks when I hear about people leaving their jobs in pursuit of an entrepreneurial dream and then ending up losing their jobs and their dreams.

This is not a book written by a guru who has built a real estate empire.

It is written by a simple person who has experienced the hard knocks of life and achieved financial freedom by applying simple secrets in investing in rental properties.

I was fortunate enough to meet great mentors who taught me those simple secrets.

I just want to help others achieve financial freedom by investing in rental properties and earn passive income through rentals.

What Challenges Did You Face When Writing The Employee Millionaire?

The most challenging, I would say is that I wanted this book to be a complete guide (an A-Z guide) for rental properties investing, so I had to make sure nothing was left out.

I also wanted to write it in a simple common everyday language, in the same fashion that my mentors taught me.

What Benefits Will The Reader Get by Reading The Book?

I would want readers to learn about the importance of investing one’s savings and monthly net cash flow in income-producing-assets, especially rental properties, following a proven step-by-step system that it easy to follow and that will allow them to become financially free.

Can Anyone Start Real Estate Investing After Reading Your Book?

Oh yeah! Definitely. It is written in a very simple conversational language with specific templates, worksheets, and exercises that allow the readers to apply each step of the process to their own specific situation.

Think of this book as a coach talking to you and explaining to you all the in’s and out’s of investing in rental properties. Then the specific exercises will allow you to absorb all the learning by practice.

My investment career journey started in the Philippines where I met my great mentor, Papa Joe. He taught me all the insider secrets for investing in rental properties.
